What are some good stretches that help you get your middle splits?

i can actually barley touch my toes im not flexiable at all! haha but i want to be so im wondering if theres any good streches or tips that can help me get my splits pretty fast? =)

Ummm trying to touch your toes every day would be good. And sitting on the floor like you’re going to cross your legs except just having the bottoms of your feet together and leaning forward is good too (if that made sense). And attempting to do the splits as far as you can would be good… I’m really inflexible so I can’t really say :/

ok .. sit on your ass.. on the floor. open legs and try to touch the chest on the floor..between your legs . i know you said you re not flexible and you wont be able to do that but if you try everyday more and more you might be able to do it .

in the same position :sit on the floor, on your ass, depart your legs ..but this time in front of a friend.She has to stay like you facing you . and with her soles will push your legs in interior of your thighs . Meanwhile, you hold each other ‘s hands and can just balance back and forth : you towards her and the opposite.

ok so i was talking about second image. you wont be able to do that so you can try the third image by yourself. with help , you can do first image.

second image with a friend : you re not touching the chest to the floor and you re holding your friend’s hands.. she has soles on your thighs and by holding your hhands will pull you over her slowly and gently.

this way you ll have more flexibility at your legs and back also . Goodluck!

As a dance teacher The way ive always taught my students is to have them sit in butterfly position and work on relaxing in that position while trying to get you knees as close to the floor as possible (this may take a few weeks) , then we move to sitting with our legs open as far as we can then while calmly breathing in your nose and out your mouth use ur core and thigh muscles to stretch ( this also works great if u face a wall in a split working ur way closer to the wall) Oh yeah and don’t forget u can use your hand for stability. This process takes a few weeks depending on how relaxed your body can be and lots of determination and remember its all in your hips so be very careful.
