What do you do when you start something and cant stop, even though its really dangerous?

You speak to someone you trust, a friend, a family member or a counselor and tell them that you need help and explain what the problem is. If you really can’t stop with something that is dangerous then you need to see a professional.

If you can’t stop whatever it is and you’re asking this then it means you want to stop yet you simply can’t fight the urge. Depending on what it is there are people out there to help you whether it be friends, family or specialists.

See a doctor, therapist, and trust your family and friends. I know your scared, but think of how it could turn out if you don’t get help. If you respond telling me what scares you, I’ll try my best to help you get around it.

Everyone is scared to talk to people. Regardless of what is wrong. Most people because they think the issue they have is stupid or that people will look at them as failures. You need to try and figure out why you are scared. Also there has to be someone that you can tell.Anyone. It doesn’t matter who it is.

My parents arent really the sorts of people that wiill understand and i dont want my friends to look down on me.

I’m scared they wont understand, that they’ll feel ashamed and that they will tell me that its real and that its really happening, and im still trying to convince myself its not. And im scared that if i dont tell them it could get worse and i might die from it.

Then what about a school counselor. Also your friends, if they are true friends, won’t look down on you,but will try to help.

It is scary, but you have to try tell someone. Imagine telling whoever you think you can and then keep thinking in your head the positive side of it. That way you won’t work yourself up nearly as much about telling someone about the problem.

the first step to getting better is to realize that you have a problem. Second of all, chose that one person, (no boyfriends, please) that you fell like you are your best with and that you always want to be with. Tell them first. if they tell you that you need to tell people, tell them that you are still really scared and that you will soon.
