Answer #1

Ok, I’m not going to preach. I started drinking a little and experimenting with stuff when I was 17 too, so I’m not going to judge. :)

Drinking alters your state of mind, and your emotions are stronger. If you’re happy and having fun, you’ll be happier and feel like you’re having more fun. If you’re upset or sad when you start drinking, you’ll cry and be depressed feeling when you’re drunk. When you’re drunk, your inhibitions are lowered, so you’ll cry easier or laugh harder, or say things you wouldn’t really say out loud even though you do really mean them. It can also depend on how drunk you are or what you’re drinking. Most people have a ‘poison’ which is the type of alcohol that makes the worst in them come out. Figure out what it is and avoid it. Be careful and always try to use your best judgment and never drink and drive or ride with someone who has been drinking. Sorry, I know I said I wasn’t gonna preach, but it’s true!

You could not drink as much, or drink drinks with less alcohol %. If you drink alone then you are likely to get upset, but going out with friends will cheer you up.

ah well im not going to stop drinking, whatever anyone says, but just wondering how I can start to control my emotions? maybe even if im not drinking? I know this souds so silly but im not going to stop drinking, its too big in my life :l

Answer #4

Well this is kind of simple. Stop drinking. there are plenty of other ways to have fun. Alcohol is a depressant so it’s gonna make you feel really moody. Just stop drinking :p

Answer #5

You’re asking how to control something while you’re using something that specifically disinhibits you? Let me put it this way, you’re pressing the break and asking how to speed the car up… It’s not going to happen. You’re lowering your control. Honestly, you probably overly control things in regular life, which is why you end up crying when you’re drinking. If you want to stop crying, then deal with why you’re crying and your emotions, and you’ll have absolutely no need to cry while drunk. Oh and if drinking is too big in your life, you’ve got a problem. Which is quite obvious given your level of defensiveness. So good luck with that.

Answer #6

some people go hyper (like me and my 2 mates) but some people get tired at first then hyper (my friend) alcohol is strong stuff… it enables you to not think properly about things sometimes… just maybe not drink so much to de-sensitise yourself from crying. or just yeah, take some tissues.. I bet the people you get drunk with have other things they do when their drunk

Answer #7

Alcohol is a depressant. You are just reacting to it. When you go out drinking bring tissues with you.
