Stainless steel cookware recommendations?

After just finishing thanksgiving with the family, which was wonderful, I was thinking that our stainless steel cookware was getting a bit out of date, and the edges are a bit sharp on some of the pans - I’m afraid when my wife & I bought the cookware, it wasn’t the best brand on the market - however, it was certainly economical.

Now that I’m looking to step it up another notch, I’d like to get some stainless steel cookware recommendations from the community here at my favorite site - what do you think? Is there a brand I should avoid, or trust more than others?

Here’s a breakdown of the stainless steel cookware features I’m looing for:

  • Must be shiny & keep it’s shine.
  • Stainless steel material
  • Cookware must not have sharp edges
  • Durable construction
  • Brand name not required, but warranty of a longer term will convince me that the company trusts it’s own marketing material that says that the cookware is truly quality.

Boy this is an old question, but I am new hear and just read it. Hopefully you are still wanting to know.

Any way, the best stainless steel cookware I know of is Farberware. My mom got my husband and I a frying skillet and sauce pan set over 15 years ago and every item is about as nice as when it was new. I have trouble reading the heat instructions for some foods on the handle of the frying pan as it is getting worn off. That is the only thing not as new.

All nice, shiny, and no sharp edges :).

Yes, this is an old question, but I have some advice for anyone looking for stainless steel cookware. Don’t go pay hundreds or thousands of dollars on your stainless steel cookware sets. You can go to http://funadvice.com/r/3nhkh1fb8g and find high quality stainless steel cookware at very reasonable basement bargain prices. The site is still being mapped out but they can accept orders and get your new cookware to you in about a week.
