What is a good African dish?

I really want to try African food because I heard it was really good. However I don’t like meat and I only eat chicken. However I am totally open to any kinds of fruits and vegetables. Can anyone recommend a really good African dish that I can try? Or can anyone recommend a good African restaurant in Vancouver, BC, Canada?

Hi!

Duro Wat is the national dish of Ethiopia and is supposed to be delicious. It’s chicken, so you should be able to eat it. Here is a recipe (I’d cut and paste it, but it’s long).

The only reason I’m focusing on Ethiopian is because it seems like a popular restaurant.
