I like the way that even those who mock Christianity still defer to the Bible. Basically, if you die with a mortal sin we expect hell, with a venial sin, we expect purgatory. It is not so simple as that, but that is a general response. A priest or theologan could give a far better answer.

Let’s forget about the bible and all the mocking answers above.

IF you believe there is a god, surely that being should be both caring and all-powerful And a caring, all-powerful being would realize your intentions, whether or not you’ve been through a formal confession.

the bible states. that if you do not replinish yourself from sin that you will have a second chance to go to heaven but you have to face 7 years of hell and people will try to get you to believe in the antichrist

You will burn for eternity!!! Na I don’t know…no-one will ever know the answer to that for sure. Unless you die and somehow can come back and tell us - who knows? Just believe what you want to believe, seems to be the way.

When you die, you just stay dead. There is no heaven or hell or any other form of afterlife. It doesn’t matter if you confess your sins or not.

There is no such thing as “sin”. However, according to a funny book called “bible”, you would probably end up in hell.

why would god want to punish his children,nothings really good or bad theyre just lifes experiences,the fearsome god that people imagine is not the real god its made up to scare people,god is all loving and compassionate,im sure god wouldnt punish anyone if they didnt have time to confess ,its the only power religions have is putting fear into people ,how do they know what god commands or thinks something must be wrong,its not god that thinks things are wrong, only people judge eachother,

I believe that after you die, you go to Purgatory. (I am a Catholic Christian.) Purgatory is where you watch all of your sins that you did in your life and apologize for each one. Then you can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
