Why are the republicans making all the decisions?

Because all republicans got voted into the House of Representitives this year, therefore the republicans make the decisions because there are more of them then there are democrats.

Mainly because Democrats are spineless wimps who let Republicans frame every debate. The Republican party is far more disciplined and stays on message. There are moderate Republicans but any of them who stray from the party line know they will be hammered so they stay in line. Conservative Democrats feel no such pressure so they often side with Republicans while moderate and liberal Democrats wonder why they can’t get anything done even though Democrats technically had majorities. It does seem that Republicans over-played their hand at the debt negotiations. President Obama seems to have finally learned that you can’t negotiate with people who refuse to negotiate in good faith. You can’t negotiate with terrorists or Republicans.

They have a majority in both houses. The executive office really doesn’t have much power compared to the legislative branch. The whole thing above that Democrats are spineless comparatively is a joke, imo. Republicans are democrats both are butt holes when compared to party lines. Obama was a moderate democrat who got elected, so being a moderate democrat does not make the party weaker. The simple truth to why republicans get to make all the decisions is only the numbers in the houses. When democrats get more numbers in the houses, they will then get all the decisions again.
