Hello, I’m a 14 year old girl, and I also have psoriasis. I know how difficult it is to have to live with it. I’ve had it ever since I was 5 years old, and I spent 6 weeks in a Childrens Hospital. There is something that I use called MG217, it’s for psoriasis. It works really good for me, maybe you should try that. I hope this helps.

There can be substantial variation between individuals in the effectiveness of specific psoriasis treatments. The decision to employ a particular treatment is based on the type of psoriasis, its location, extent and severity. The patient’s age, gender, quality of life, comorbidities, and attitude toward risks associated with the treatment are also taken into consideration.

The known types of treatments are phototherapy, Photochemotherapy, Systemic treatment and topical treatments. For details, use this link. It rly helps! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psoriasis#Treatment

My fiance uses tanning 2x’s a week to control his. If he doesn’t tan it covers about 50% of his body. We are looking into a lamp made especially for this condition. Mainly whether or not the cost of it can be claimed on medical insurance.

Dear lookn4answers, You need to see a doctor for sure…this is very uncomfortable for your daughter and you should do everything you can to help her. Stress can play a big part in this as well as diet. Do some eliminating with her diet and teach her how to handle stress with methods such as meditation and deep breathing. Even today this is a tough condition to control. Sue…good luck

Answer #5

You should take her to a specialist in dermatology. They should help you out. Good Luck!

Answer #6

Has her daughter referred her to a specialist. That is who she needs to see to sort this problem out. It may not totally go but with the correct medication it can improve. As her doctor to refer her to a dermatologist.
