I would not support Prop 8…

Answer #3

I do not support Proposition 8. There is no reason to ban anyone from marrying the person that he or she loves.

Answer #4

Prop 8 is the one that is trying to ban gay marriage, am I correct?

If it is, then no I am completely against it. The government has no right to say that two people who love each other can not get married. Whatever happened to seperation of church and state people.

Answer #5

Remember the whole “Church Separate from State” thing? One of the primary foundations of the American Constitution? Amending this is a slap in the face to American Civil Liberties and is a disgrace.

You sound like you’re against homosexuality, which means you would be FOR not against Prop-8…

But anyway…

From a federal standpoint, I think ALL forms of marriage should be referred to as ‘domestic partnerships’ …and should allow anyone: homosexual or heterosexual, to qualify for the same tax breaks. Reinforced by ‘’separation of church and state’’ …the term ‘marriage’ should no longer be used (in legal documentation), since is bears religious significance.

Also, there seems to be no valid reasons why homosexuals shouldn’t be allowed to marry; aside from religious views, which have no legal relevance anyway (separation of church and state, remember?)

Answer #7

Proposition 8 is a California State ballot proposition that would amend the state Constitution to restrict the definition of marriage to a union between a man and a woman. It would overturn a recent California Supreme Court decision that had recognized same-sex marriage in California as a fundamental right. The official ballot title language for Proposition 8 is “Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry.” The entirety of the text to be added to the constitution is: “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.” (From wiki)

and no…

Answer #8
