plateau (high)

Seems like there is just you and me, funny, For a moment, thought I will never see… You, with all the love I could feel. And I do not dare to look back, but still…

…Got to thinking, could it be this plateau, This air, could it be- a love so shallow? Feeding from the lies in this wind, that blows? Blinded by the dust in our eyes? who knows?

‘Cause down on the valley I heard you say, If I was gone, you would not grief a day. Heard you through the way you swayed and you laid, When the air and the plateau began to fade.
