why would people think im wierd cuz i wasnt crying or shouting when they had this spiritual session?

You’re not weird at all. I think it would be much stranger to shout and cry because you felt you had to, rather because it was what you actually wanted to. You are free to express yourself and your beliefs however you want to, and dont let anyone else make you feel bad about it.

thanks all of ur answers made me feel better cuz this was on my mind since i got bac from the retreat trying to think y do they want me to cry…..

if you go to church how do u act???

I have attended a Covenant Christian church my whole life, and people there all do different things. Some sit the whole time, some do hand motions or clap during songs, some raise one or both their hands up in an act of reaching out to God, but most of the congregation simply stands and does nothing. It’s whatever you’re comfortable with doing, and feel that God wants you to do.

I go to a Catholic church and I like it because I prefer to be calmer and more reflective at church. I have been to pentecostal christian churches where people are much louder, and they seem to expect other people to act the same way which I think is silly. You shouldnt be made to feel uncomfortable at a church because you prefer to pray/worship/whatever in a different way.

I have been in MANY worship sessions and saw lots of ppl not worshiping, crying, ect. You are not wierd at all. Just be yourself, don’t worry about it. It’s not their business to judge you. :)

I dnt think ur weird. I dnt do tht either, & I am an avid Christian.
