Why do people think god is real?

paulclc: what was real for God to be real? Based on that it makes no sense to believe that God is real, or that anything needs creation. People don’t understand nature or apparent order, so they assume an intelligent cause.

God is not real.

I dont belive in god at all. no offence but he is bullshit. there is absolutely no proof whatsoever that god exists. there is significantly more proof that aliens exist but less people belive in them.

God is real because if he wasn’t none of us would be here. read in Genesis 1; 26-27 we were made in his image. he created the earth and out us here by the power of his son Jesus Christ. if there is no God then you are not here either?

Although I know that the statement that only a couple of people believe in God is totally false, the question is still valid. It is not rude or hostile to question a belief. If you don’t know that by now, you have some serious issues.

I think its important to stick to your beliefs no matter what they are and never insult someone elses for theirs!

Actually, I’d say that it’s important to constantly question and re-evaluate your beliefs. If you “stick to them no matter what they are”, you just have a recipe for stubbornness and ignorance.

there is heaps of proof angerfish!! buy the Creation magazines ther is heaps and heaps of proof that he does excist and jester you are very rude to ask such a question! my life has been saved heaps of times because of miricles I should know.

like I’ve mentioned before. humans were designed with one flaw: the belief that everything has to have come from someplace. Riddle me this: if god created us, where did he come from? I don’t believe in him. I’m one of the few that believes that we just appeared here. I know it sounds far fetched and all but there really doesn’t have to be a reason. What if we all just appeared from nowhere but our minds can’t handle that kind of an answer? Did you ever think of that?

People believe in god because they need something to believe in and strive for in life, wether he is real or not isnt the question, its why they believe in it…if there wasnt a belief in some form of religion things in this world wouldt get done we all wouldnt be were we are…im strongly against the concept of god and dont believe in it but I do understand why people have to believe in someting, because they need hope.

I dont believe in god. I hate anything to do with “it” but people have the right to beleive in what they want. some people need someone to blame, someone to thank, and someone to turn to for all there unanswered questions. I on the other hand dont, and never will need that. and as long as people arnt shoving there religion down other peoples throught then I really dont see a problem with it, its there life.
