Old hard drive into new computer to save files

My old computer’s motherboard died. I would like to move the old hard drive to the new computer to save my files. The old hard drive has XP and the new one has Vista.

It is possible to put the old hard drive into the new computer in addition to the drive already there. You then could have a choice when your computer is booting as to which drive/OS you want to open.

I don’t know the ins and outs of it but you could probably find more information by searching on Google. I think the name of the program that gives you the choice is Boot Magic. I know I have both XP and 98 in my computer, even on the same hard drive (using partitioning).

    I hope you do not take offense,
    To that that's gone before;
    'Tis only that it's my two-cents,
    And not one penny more. §;o)
