Newborn winter clothes

Local Christian-based pregnancy centers (Planned Parenthood is more about abortion than helping those with babies) often have FREE baby clothes that other moms have donated. I take all of my son’s gently used (they outgrow them so fast they’re barely worn 3 times before it’s time to move up a size) to our pregnancy center so I can attest to the quality of clothing there. Another place is Good Will. Or, local consignment stores have GREAT deals too. I would check ebay or craigslist only if you can have somebody go with you to pick up the clothing or if the person will ship to you. If you really want new clothing, Kohl’s has excellent sales! I got $170+ worth of clothes for only $80 on one excursion. If you can buy off-season clothing in the size your child will be in (ex: buying next summer’s clothing this fall) you an get wonderful sales and discounts and you’ll get new clothes for your baby. Another great resource is friends with children. I’ve bought tons of clothing off of friends who were going to GIVE clothes away to goodwill. For $10 I got well over $150 worth of outfits and shoes. There are ways. For a newborn, you need onesies, full footed sleepers, and blankets. You don’t necessarily need too many cutesie outfits. Warm is the requirement, not cute. Plus a baby shouldn’t be outside in the cold at that age anyways. Pj’s are more comfy for them too. Sorry this was long.
