Is 7.2 pounds big for a newborn?

Is 7.2 pounds heavy for a new born cas when my baby was born all the nurses kept tellin me how big he was and I didnt think he was big at all

Dear jackzonsmom, We are seeing smaller and smaller babies due to many things these days. Mostly from smoking, drinking and lack of personal care during a pregnancy. So they were probably commenting on this. This size is normal and a healthy weight for a baby. Congratulations, Sue…good luck

7lbs is pretty normal. when I was born I was 8lbs and 5 oz. so 7lbs is pretty good for a newborn

its fine. a big baby is around 10 lbs. so dont worry, its normal

I was 5 pounds and 14 ounces. I think that 7 is a pretty good weight size. My niece was born June of 2005 and she was right at 10 pounds. She was a huge baby!

My first baby was 9pound 8 and second was 9 pound 1 and he was 2 weeks early lol
