My kitten is mean

She is so freaking mean! Ughh.. Hahahha. She bites so hard, and she can’t be declawed yet, But we will do that when she’s old enough.. I’ve tried everything, help me ?

Answer #1

my grandma has a very meen cat also don’t pamper her while she’s young it will make her boss you around and use a spray bottle w/ just water or you could add some lemon juice or vinegar. hope it helps

Answer #2

Declawing should never be done.

It is literally an amputation. They don’t just remove the nail, they remove part of each digit (finger), starting from the first knuckle. It’s horrendous and painful.

If you are scared that she will scratch you or the furniture, buy something called Softpaws. They are caps that go over the cats claws for months at a time and don’t hurt them.

First…if you do any kind of “rough-housing” with her…STOP!! She is just playing, but that doesn’t stop her from biting too hard…

Cats are as smart as dogs…possibly smarter…I”d give her a time, out, also…”You play too rough, therefore you won’t play at all”…it works on puppies.

If it’s only a kitten, she doesn’t know what she’s doing wrong if you know what I mean.

Cat’s claws and teeth will most of the time hurt, but I think I heard cat’s think you are playing with them when they bite. She’ll grow and hopefully will develop into a nicer cat. All she needs is probably love XD

Good luck with it!

Answer #5

It doesn’t work the first, second or third times…you’ve got to be consistant…do it EVERY SINGLE time, the second she starts getting rough. The spray bottle is a whole different cup of tea, than playing in the sink or toilet…and they don’t like it!

Answer #6

well she loves water. like she will get in the shower, toilet and sinkk, hahaha.

but time out doesn’t work either. she is just really fiesty I guess ?

Answer #7

There really is no need to declaw the cat, some good training and she should be fine. Would you want someone ripping out your nails? I’m assuming by everything you’ve tried the spray bottle? Have you tried time out? I know it sounds stupid, but whenever my cat starts acting up I lock her in the bathroom for a bit…

Answer #8

she’s just hyper at her young age… she’ll get better as she gets older and can be spayed.
