Kittens under my house the mom doesn't feed them, what do I do?

There are kittens under my house (I have a crawl space that never gets shut) and the mom doesnt feed them anymore and it looks like they have just learned to run/ open their eyes. The crawl space is at least 5 ft deep, so they cant jump out and run to find their mom. I dont want to take them to a pet shelter b/c that would be mean and cruel for kittens. :(

Answer #1

Don’t assume that the mother isn’t caring for them. She simply may be caring for them when you aren’t around and don’t realize it.

Answer #2

take them to a shelter. I know it might seem like its mean, but its not. people adopt kittens sooo fast. like if you took them there they would probably all be gone in a matter of a week or so. and they get food and water.

Answer #3

no you should take them to a shelter. I found a kitten in the crawl space under my house and I had animal control come pick it up. we found4 other kittens a week later outside, looked just like the other one, one was half eaten by a raccoon the others froze to death. for some reason the mom just stopped taking care of them. call animal control and have them come get it, they will feed and clean them and then give them to a shelter. people adopt young kittens so fast. they will be happier.

Answer #4

no dont call animal control, try and get them yourself, and take them to a no kill shelter.

Answer #5

I have the same question my kittens were orn a month ago and the were still nursing when the mom cat got ran over
