New kitten, old cat.

The kitten I want is from my boyfriends cousin, they have a lot of cats around and the mamma had these about a month ago, but now I found out they have fleas, and I already have a cat I have had for almost 13 years, she loves to play with our baby chickens but when other cats come around she gets mean. I have no idea what to do. My boyfriend wants to get me the kitten for my birthday. But I dont want my older cat to get fleas.

Hmm, I wouldnt worry about the fleas as much as whether she will adapt to another cat… Medication will take care of the fleas… Some cats are lone cats, she’s been alone for 13 years… If she already reacts badly to other cats, she may not be too happy with a kitten invading her space…

Tell him to get the dang cvat a bath a flea collar, tell him your concerns, since he is your boyfriend he will most likely listen to you 8)
