How do I handle my dad not letting me see my crush?

Okay so im going out with someone who I’ve known for a little while maybe about 2 months now and we really started to click lately and we talk everyday on the phone he was off on vacation for the summer and he lives just about 10 minutes away were I used to live and I go there almost everyday and I told my dad about him and he said that I either have to break up with him bc hes a different race or I can not go down to see him… my dad usually isnt like this all my other boyfriends I’ve had he has liked but for some reason he doesnt like this one and I should add my dad IS NOT RACIST! but I dont know what to do im really starting to like him and I want to stay with him but I wanna see him… =/ help mee!

Your dad maybe concerned with miscegenation, which if you do not know what that word is look it up. He could be trying to protect you from ridicule and from being made fun of for having a boyfriend of another race. I think he’s trying to protect you. Btw I personally have no massive desire to date someone outside my ethnicity though.

Sorry to say but yes, he’s clearly racist if he’s not letting you see a boy because of his race. That’s nothing but racist and you should tell your dad how that makes you feel.
