Dad won't let me go to a theme park with my friends

I was invited to go to a theme park with some friends from college. They live about 2 hours away, so I am getting a ride to the college and we are meeting at 8 AM. Then we will drive 2.5 hours to the theme park and stay until 7PM , then drive back to the college and I am getting a ride back home, so I’ll be back around 11:30PM. My dad is saying that I can’t go, and I want to see if anyone can figure out what his reason could possibly be (It has something to do with the times & there is no curfew). I’m not 18 yet, so I need to listen to him.

thats a whole day spent with friends. he might be concerned that you arent going to study or get your work done also, maybe he doesnt trust your college friends?
