Is science figuring out how intelligence did it?

hi im a christian, and I belive in the bible and in school we do not learn about GOD but he is very real and school should know this, but we are learning that some big bang started the universe with no mention of god. we were also forced to belive in some evolution crap that is taking away the glory of GOD. is this a trick from the devil, should I take an f, or is it figuring out how GOD intelligently designed everything to work? and man is confused, because GOD made it look that way. and man cant understand the ways of GOD.

A private Christian school is far better than a public one. Ask your parents to send you and I bet a million they’ll be very proud to do so.

fau: you asked: “we were also forced to believe in some evolution crap that is taking away the glory of GOD. is this a trick from the devil” Yes, it is absolutely a trick of Satan. He wants you to get side-tracked into questioning if God exists.

You asked “should I take an f, or is it figuring out how GOD intelligently designed everything to work” Years ago the RCC killed over 60 million Christians for standing up for God. If it were me, I’d refuse to take the class and take the F, but it is up to you. God designed us and our world exactly how He told us He did, in six days, no more and no less. Evolution teaches it took millions of years, again this is a lie from Satan to confuse you.

What Semi said is a way to get you interested in ( what Satan teaches); evolution. Creation is where God is, not evolution. The Holy Bible teaches us how God made us and our world, but evolution would have you believe there is no God…

eleni what you said is despicable! “If you really think science is the devil’s conspiracy and that evolution is crap, I’m sure you will be glad to forego medical treatment the next time you’re sick and just get anointed with holy oil instead.” GOD CREATED MEDICINE NOT MAN!

eleni if this were my site, I’d ban you for saying garbage like that! ESPECIALLY TO A KID!

Hey kid, people like this fruitcake, eleni, should have better sense. Don’t let her words rattle you any.

Follow your heart, pray to God, do what is right according to His teachings, go to church, talk with your parents about enrolling you into a Christian school, they are the best way to not compromise your beliefs. I will pray for you. God bless you! Send me FunMail if you want to. :)

“arachnid I made myself perfectly clear what is wrong with what eleni said.”

No you didn’t. The closest you said was “GOD CREATED MEDICINE NOT MAN”, which makes very little sense, since every single medical discovery can be attributed to one or more people that discovered it - it didn’t spring fully formed from god.

“Evolution teaches 18 to 20 billion years ago man came from nothing, (a very condensed, very hot region the size of a dot, which exploded…) swam around in the ‘soup’ and crawled out onto land. Evolution has taken the Creator out of their teachings.”

Er, no, you’re confusing a rather distorted view of evolution with the Big Bang, two totally separate theories.

Evolution hasn’t “taken the creator out of their teachings” - evolution is a scientific theory describing how life evolved (not how it started) from simple forms into more complex ones. God doesn’t come into it because you can’t make God part of a testable scientific theory. Note that evolution says nothing about how life was created.

Saying something is false just because it conflicts with your world view is fine - if you don’t want to convince anyone but yourself. For others that don’t share your worldview, though, it’s not a convincing argument.

“‘testable and disprovable predictions?? LOL!! Sure it’s disprovable because nobody was alive billions of years ago to know!”

Evolution predicts the existence of intermediate forms between the species we know exist now and those that existed in the past; fossils of these intermediate forms have been found on many occasions. That’s an example of a testable prediction. Evolution doesn’t just predict things that happened in the past, it also predicts the future development of organisms - bacteria develop immunities, virii evolve to infect new species, and fruit flies develop new characteristics. If any of these things didn’t happen as expected, the theory would need revising. These are examples of disprovable predictions.

The reason schools don’t mention God or the Bible next to evolution is because science is founded on reason, and it’s been shown time and again to be a useful model of the world. Religion is based only on faith. Schools are about teaching objective reality to students, not forcing a particular belief system on them.

Answer #3

arachnid I made myself perfectly clear what is wrong with what eleni said.

No, I did not say SCIENCE was the devil’s work, but evolution. God has blessed scientists to develop cures to save lives, improved about every aspect of our lives BUT in the area of evolution; they are way out there on this one!

Evolution teaches 18 to 20 billion years ago man came from nothing, (a very condensed, very hot region the size of a dot, which exploded…) swam around in the ‘soup’ and crawled out onto land. Evolution has taken the Creator out of their teachings.

arachnid said: “And something else that needs refuting: The theory of evolution says nothing about God.” <<< You just made my point…evolution leaves God out completely. This false theory is so that man didn’t need a Creator (Satan’s lie).

anachnid said: “It makes (testable and disprovable!) predictions about the development of life from simpler forms into more complex ones, nothing more”
Predictions are just that, predictions…

“testable and disprovable predictions?? LOL!! Sure it’s disprovable because nobody was alive billions of years ago to know! …unless you believe in the Creator, then you would know, because HE told us what actually happened.

anachnid said: “If it happens to conflict with your particular religious belief, that’s your business”

This topic is from a young person concerned about what’s being taught in SCHOOL!

It isn’t just ‘my business’ this concerns every parent whose concerned about what is being taught to their children. Public schools teach evolution, but gives no time to God and the Bible. .

As a matter of fact, if a child even mentions “God” or “Jesus” they are dealt with strongly, and in many cases, dismissed! This is not fair, and again shows us just how close the second coming of Jesus really is.

You got it baby girl !!!

Play along with their game, God knows your heart. They cannot change you. Just stay strong in the faith, and in the sweet by and by, God will one day step up to the bat, and it will all be over.

The truth will win, in the end. You can bet on that.

I read the back of the book ~smiles ~

Answer #5

No, all I want to do is hold a rational discussion. If you’re not prepared to do that, then I agree, yes, this is pointless.

Answer #6

I think you should ask your parents to enroll you in a private school. I go to private and personally I like it a lot better!!!

Answer #7

No. This is not how a discussion goes. If you want to claim Eleni said something outrageous, tell us what’s particularly outrageous about it. Alternately, try addressing any of my points in my last post.

Answer #8

I think you should learn about it. If it is taught. But I also believe that you should decide for yourself whether or not to believe it. I’ll be praying

Answer #9

“we were also forced to belive in some evolution crap that is taking away the glory of GOD.”

If you don’t like that public schools teach evolution and not young earth creation, you have a few choices. You can ask your parents to enroll you in a private Christian school where they do teach creation. You can ask your parents to home school you and get textbooks that teach creation. You can lie on your tests and give answers that support evolution, all the while believing that none of it is true. Or, you can entertain the thought that maybe, just maybe, there is a whole wealth of information backing up the “theory” of evolution, and maybe you can look at it with an open mind.

Answer #10

orion: What exactly is wrong with what Eleni said? It’s a good point - if you really believe science is the devil’s work, why are you happy to make use of it when it comes to medicine?

And something else that needs refuting: The theory of evolution says nothing about God. It makes (testable and disprovable!) predictions about the development of life from simpler forms into more complex ones, nothing more. If it happens to conflict with your particular religious belief, that’s your business; it’s nothing to do with the theory itself.

Answer #11

arachnid, it is pointless to go over and over the same ole stuff with you and others like you.

You will never accept the Creator God, and I sure will not give up my belief in God to become whatever it is you are, so it is pointless to go back and forth.

I said what I had to say and it is VERY clear to anybody, even a fifth grader. All you want to do is argue and throw out insults and attack Christians.

I’m not into war, but love. When you are ready for love, not war you know where to find me. . . .

Answer #12

Fact: During the 60’s God was being phased out of schools because of personal peace and affluence. Our founding fathers had the Bible in their classrooms as one of the textbooks. Evolution is the same as psychology, learn it for the grade, then forget it.

Every day science gets closer to finding out how God did it!

No where on earth can you find complete joy and hope other than in the Bible. Perfect example is Philippians 3.

Answer #13

If you are in the U.S, the public schools have no obligation to teach you religion. Their job is to teach science in science class and save the religion for churches.

If you really think science is the devil’s conspiracy and that evolution is crap, I’m sure you will be glad to forego medical treatment the next time you’re sick and just get anointed with holy oil instead.
