Im 18 and told parents about pregnancy!

Im 18 and have just told my family that im pregnant me and the father live together but my family think its just a bad idea, I was so looking forward to having this baby ,but my family is not helping me at all what do I do?

Answer #1

They may feel that way now, but it may change once the baby is here. Some parents go blastic, because they may feel your making another mistake, I’m not talking about the baby is a mistake, they may feel you might have to one day raise the baby by yourself, meaning the boyfriend may not stick around. But you can only do what you know and feel is right for you and the baby. Your parents may or may not change their feelings about what is going on, but remeber a child is a gift and you only want what is best for them. Maybe your parents are thinking the same thing who knows? keep the lines of communications open with your parents if you can, you can pray also. This also happened to me when I was 25, but they knew I needed them as much as they needed me and their grandchild. Remember this to shall pass, life is short but love is everlasting no matter how it may turn out with you.
