Can I move out without telling my parents since I am 18?

I am 18 years old & I have been told I am not able to move out of my own house & if I do I get told that they will drag me back to the house. Am I able to leave without telling my parents, can I sneak out of the house??

but in Yuma it is aloud… the only thing that is stopping me is I am terrified on what my parents are going to do.. I am a senior in high school & it is online, I have talked to a cop & lawyer about it too… I am able to make my own decisions because my parents sit on there butt & so does my siblings & they NEVER get up except for the bathroom or bed & I am there slave.

Answer #2

If you haven’t, yet, graduated from high school, then legally no. You can’t move out. Even though you’re 18, you’re not yet able “make your own decisions,” according to the law. So, unfortunately, no. You can’t move out without telling your parents. If you do, you can be reported as a runaway and believe me, you don’t want to be in that boat. If you HAVE graduated, though, they can’t legally stop you. You’re an adult and you can make your own decisions.

Answer #3

Then leave. Get a job, find a place, move out. They can’t stop you.
