Who can help, im 18 and pregant, how do I tell my parents?

Im 18, turning 19 in July, I live at home with my parents, and the guy I was dating for 5 months broke up with me almost a week ago because he had too much stuff going on. 4 days later I found out I was pregnant and I told him and we dont know what to do. Hes not ready to get back with me but I need help. How do I tell my parents so I can get prenatal care? Im scared they’ll opt for abortion, and I could never do that. They know im not ready so im considering adoption but my ex boyfreind said he’d help me raise it if I decided to keep it.

Your an adult. Being 18 is being an adult.

You can Get help on your local planned perenthood and from there on. The thing is that if your perents dicide not to help you then that is that because you are an adult. You can get the help by yourself.

Go ahead and tell your perents and let them know that you are pregnet and ask them if they are willing to help you.

GOOD LUCK:)

you are 18. I had my first kid at 15. I am now 22 years old. when I first told my mom she freaked out for awhile but then she cooled off. just don’t put the baby up for adoption because when you first start feeling the baby move then it changes your whole mind about everything. then you think hey I created that it’s part of me I have to take care of another person.

your 18… your an adult, your not the first to go through this and certainly wont be the last…tell your parents what your options are and what you are considering…make sure you do what you want to do.You are the one who will be pego for 9 mos. and you will be the one giving birth. not your parents and not your ex…do what you feel is the best thing for you. And Im sure your parents will support whatever choice you make…because they love you.

Answer #5

You are 18 so you could get help by yourself. But you still need to tell your parents. Just ask them to sit down as you have something VERY important to talk to them about. just make sure you handle this as an adult. It is another human being you are dealing with. Whatever your decision Good Luck. A child will change your life weather you decide to keep it or give it up for adoption. But just remember if you do give it up, you may change your mind later and you can’t do that without upsetting the child’s life.
