Dear mrfuzzypants ,

Sadly you are never going to be able to escape your self..all the running away in the world is not going to give you that I am sorry.. I am glad however that you are able to see that it is your self you are wantting to escape that believe it or not is really good to know…especially at your age..some people spend an entire life time not knowing that it is them selves they are running away from..we are our worst ememy…it is not that we can not do some thing that scares us it is that we can and all that hold us back our ourselves we are powerful beyound measure..and it scares the h ell out of us.

You are depressed or well at least that is the label for what you are going through right now…clinical depression..dont feel to bad over 90% of the population at some point in their lives will be depressed it is quite normal if you ask me…there are ways to deal with it though and the issues lies more with in how it messes up your brain and thoughts you’ll end up have desorted thinking and that is where the danger is… that is where suicide thoughts end up coming in or thoughts that are self degratting like you not being worth anything and things like that…those are not good and it keeps you from reaching the potential that you are capable of.

FIRST know that IT WILL NOT LAST…next no that YOU ARE NOT ALONE..I too have suffered on and off with depression for the last few years as well as PTSD…you not alone in this.

There are things that you can do to help…keep your self busy get a job if possible it wil help trust me read about FLOW Time if you get the chance very interestting study…

Lets see talking to some one who will listen can help…make sure that it is the right type of person who is going to make you feel better and not worse..some one who is going to make you feel worse is not going to help and mostly not some one you should be talking too. You do not need people in your life who are going to make you feel bad about your self for one thing.

No that IT WILL NOT LAST…how you feel right now is not going to last forever it will change it always does…so do not give up and do not lose hope.

It pass trust me on this and you know what all things really do work together for good..we may not always see it but that is because we are only seeing a little picture…we don’t ever get to see the hole one…it takes time some times a lot more then we would like but everything in the end works together for good even the bad things it makes us stronger…better people then we where and it gives us passion hope and faith…

You just have to find your self…and some times that is not an easy thing to do…

I am here if you need some one.

Take care of your self. Merry Christmas and Happy New years.

May the Lord of Heaven and Earth forever bless you and your family.

I disagree. maybe thats the kind of thing that mrfuzzypants is into. you shouldnt chide people for what they like or dislike. ok to you mrfuzzypants, from someone with major long term depression, I have to say I have little or no faith in helping you get out of this funk. but Im going to tell you a couple things that have helped me. first and foremost, EXERCISE. its sounds dumb and I’m the last person in the world who enjoys this, but getting outside and doing something active will boost your seratonin levels and give you a sense of accomplishment. if youre finding that youre holing yourself up in a dark room and cutting off contact with the outside world you will most definately end up feeling worse about things. hiding is not a way to escape whats bugging you and it gives you way too much time to analyse and mull over things until youre even worse off. you need to start doing things that bring you a little happiness. I know this is going to be difficult because for me there isnt a whole lot that I enjoy anymore. HOWEVER there is always something that will make you feel a little better and you alone knows what that is. try keeping yourself busy. read a book, watch a movie, take a walk do some volunteer work(helping the needy will always make you feel better and give you some pride and they always need as much help as they can get). when you keep yourself involved in things you have less time to dwell on the things that bother you. being stationary will get you nowhere. trust me on that one. another good thing to do is to talk to someone about how youre feeling. sometimes a different perspective can help you sort through things a lot easier. if you dont have friends or family members you can talk to try going into a chat room. theres always some dogooder online willing to lend a sympathetic ear. even if you dont get the most constructive advice, getting out your negative thoughts and emotions will help you feel like a weight is lifting off of you. there a thousands of sites dedicated to people with depression or suicidal thoughts and millions of people out there willing to give friendship and support. finally, please try to remember that whatever youre going through will eventually pass. and while things may not always get better or be the way you want them to be, when youre at the bottom, things cant get any worse. I hope this helps. HUGZ Pamela p.s if you or anyone with depression and wants to speak with someone thats been there many times and is always willing to listen, add me as a friend and I will give you my yahoo or msn id

Run. so simple, just run. Even if you aren’t into that kinda thing. Just run as hard and as far as you can, don’t make a goal for how long you will run or where you are going just go. Running is the one thing you can always do for youself. the one thing that lets you be selfish. so keep running and you will eventually be able to out run your pain.

First of all, you may want to change your picture you have up. If you surround yourself with darkness, how can you expect to see light?
