Disagreeing with someone and saying “I’m sorry, I have evidence which contradicts what you believe” is classified as a mental disorder now? I guess believing in something with no sound proof of it’s existence is truly, the only sane way to go, right?

Not true. In fact I could say the same about those who do believe in “God” judging everyone else- I mean, codemning non believers to burn in hell if they don’t believe in Jesus is hardly so tolerant, is it? The phrase ‘practise what you preach’ pops into my mind… ironic, isn’t it?

because majority of religiouse people mostly christians who do NOT respect anyone elses beleifs its christians you see in the street trying to convert people not athiests and ussualy its the christian who insaults the beleifs of someone who doesnt beleive in a god therefore the athiest or person of the other religion will defend there beleifs and an argument starts now im not talking about ALL christians but its a fair majority of them who do this they need to learn to respect other peoples beleifs because without respect they will get none in returne as for me im a prroud athiest and why do I get for saying that? usually a few idiot christians that say crap like “why would anyone be PROUD of that” no respect? none in returne and because so little christians actually respect anyones elses beleifs so few of them get treated with respect for what they beleive in by other people who dont

Nothing is ever 100%. Not ALL christians disrespect nonbelievers. Not ALL nonbelievers disrespect christians.

the entire point im trying to make is that if you dont respect other peoples religions, they wont repsect yours so you wont respect theirs and they won’t respect yours and nobodys ever going to get along!!

im an Athiest… for comfort reasons I kinda think there is a god who looks after you when you die. my dad died when I was a girl and to know he in heaven looking down on me is a comfort! I dont go to church tho. I belive religion = WAR well causes it!!!

so as soon as people stop telling others they’re dumb, blind, sinners, going to hell, damned, etc etc, and start showing respect, perhaps they’ll get some back…

and by the way, if you want to look at history, religious folk (I suppose because they have generally been in the majority) have had a far greater intolerance towards those who disagreed with them. Look at those who were killed for “heresy” (which was made up as the church went along). so please, stop the dramatic “I’m being persecuted” attitude.

Personally, my father didn’t raise me to be any specific religion so I don’t have to much care in any religous beliefs. Anyone can be whatever religion they want to be, and along with that, most people often sterotype the religions they are not. It makes sense, since they don’t understand or care for the religion, it is easy to make fun of. I guess you just sort of have to ignore it, people can be rude… just screw them and believe what you want to believe(:

pwincess irenemarie, I do respect your beliefs it may not seem like it and I’m obviously not trying to shove my religion down your throat and obviously you dont know me because all of my friends (well not all) aren’t christians and I dont shove anything down their throats because I know how it feels to have that happen.
