Why is my female cat suddenly skittish of me?

I was wondering where my cat was, and looked in the closet where she normally likes to be since it’s cool in there. When I went to pat her, she moved away from me, and when I was able to pick her up, she acted skittish. This is the first time she’s done this and I’ve had her for at least two to three years.

Could the heat be making my female cat Mischief skittish? Or did something scare her? I checked her over and she didn’t have a mark and didn’t cry when I ran my hands over her stomach, neck, head, legs, paws, and tail, and her sides.

Answer #1

Perhaps, she is pregnant? Check with a vet.

Answer #2

maybe u steped on her without knowing r she could be pregnant.

Answer #3

she’s not pregnant, if she is then I will be taking my male back to the vet and asking them why he can reproduce, my cats are indoor cats.

Answer #4

i hadn’t seen her since i woke up this morning until i found her :/ there was no way i could have stepped on her, when i looked at the box she normally slept in, it was flipped over, i’m thinking someone opened the door and kicked the box with her in it not knowing she was in there.

Answer #5

Cats: black cats are very skittish. So if you have a black cat theres your answer. When I had a black cat he ran away for 3 days, couldnt find him. He got attacked in the lip and he had surgery. After all that he started acting worse. more skittish.

Answer #6

she’s a tiger o.o not black

Answer #7

Call your local vet. They are always open to answering any questions you have. She may be pregnant. Is she fixed?

Answer #8

It doesn’t have anything to do with the colour… but some breeds have different traits.
