My cats all of a sudden started hating each other.I dont know what happen.I work all day and when i came home they were fighting really bad.I called my vet and they think it may be behavorial issues.How long will this last and will they ever become friends again.Please help
Alpha in the house ? If not there's your battle issue for who is going to be more dominant and which is going to accept it. Eventually they will come to terms with the question. It's scary and sometimes brutal, but if they have been raised together, played together, it's not likely one will kill the other. They'll just kick their butts till the other learns it's place.
Assuming they are both fixed, then they're just being cats. Cats, in general, are not group creatures (Except for lions). Or maybe the dude has BO!
It's the female thats causing problems and she about 5, and i also have a male that is 3.Everytime he comes near her she gowls and hisses at him.
Depending how old they are and what gender, you probably need to get them fixed.
