Do you feel that sugar free products that contain aspartame is dangerous for your health and has side effects?
well here is a very clear answer :O
“The safety of aspartame has been the subject of several political and medical controversies, Congressional hearings and internet hoaxes since its initial approval for use in food products by the U.S.FDA in 1974. A 2007 medical review on the subject concluded that “the weight of existing scientific evidence indicates that aspartame is safe at current levels of consumption as a non-nutritive sweetener”. However, because its breakdown products include phenylalanine, aspartame must be avoided by people with the genetic condition phenylketonuria (PKU)”
If you cannot pronounce the word, it does not belong in your body :)
I would rather do illegal substances…
everyone is a liar…god knows what ‘harmless’ food products we consume that cause cancerous disease -_- i hate people!
is the inverse true as well?
It is one of the many additives that I have avoided as much as possible (without being fanatical about it) for many years.
.
i always check the ingredients list before purchasing a product (from a supermarket or similar) if I have not previously used the product. If the product contains Aspatame I do not buy it.
.
However, if I was knowingly offered a drink containing it at a function, and there was no reasonable alternative, I would take it without making any adverse comments about it - merely out of politeness to my hosts.
.
I generally favour fresh “natural” products without any sweeteners, colourings, preservatives, antioxidents, emulsifiers; and similar ordures .

Right, to me the taste of these products that contain aspartame tastes off as well, natural is the best way, can’t go wrong with that.
