How do I get over this thing I have about not being able to fall asleep without my own bed :'( ?
Like, I can’t go to sleep if I am not in my own bed. I travel a lot and I never get any sleep when I travel. It makes me miserable…

Oh..maybe you’re just homesick everyone feels like this one time or another…this is nothing to worry about maybe you should bring like a pillow from your bed or something that makes you comfortable as if you were laying on your own bed. I feel the same way too. hehe
Hm… drink some warm milk, that really does help people fall asleep. :)
i experienced that yesterday.i know wen you try to sleep you cANT.coz, bed is like,,,,friend or your favourate shop for bying magazines.or may be like restaurant you always buy your meal from,,,its not easy to accept changes. yesterday i slept in other room.i didnt fall asleep but after few hours,i did.our brain cannot accept changes faster,try to not think about things wen you go to sleep.read some books before sleeping or watch movies.hope i helped!good luck
does that really help? I always thought it made the milk bad, because you know - warm milk? Sounds deguisting…. lol I will try it.
yeah - but I have been to over 100 places to sleep because my job requires me to travel and I haven’t been able to sleep more than a few times or not - I am talking about everytime I have to stay the night somewhere.
You’ve never had hot chocolate? That’s made with warm milk haha I always have trouble sleeping and warm stuff makes me feel better.. you can also talk to your doctor and see what he can do for you. :)
yeah I hate sleeping pills though and I am afraid that is what the doctor will say…. well hot chocolate actually has flavoring to it and that is why warm milk all by itself sounds gross. I am afraid of sleeping pills because so many people die from them. I think that’s the way Micheal Jackson died, isn’t it? I forgot… lol how does the subject totally change?? :D
I never liked sleeping pills either, but they put me to sleep lol. Drink hot chocolate then! Also warm baths can relax you and make you tired. People die from them because they don’t follow the instructions on the bottle. If you’re taking the correct amount, you’ll be fine. :) No, he didn’t die from sleeping pills. :D
You cant overdse on one pill. People who overdse are trying to die or have mixed a bunch of pills. You want to be careful with sleeping pills, they can be highly addict*ve. There are certain kinds that are non habit forming. Not that i’m an advocate of pills. Any how, so some tips. Stay away from caffeine past mid-afternoon. Don’t drink alcohol (messes with your sleep). Don’t eat too much at night. Don’t do anything in bed but sleep (so dont work in bed, watch tv, etc). Try yoga, meditation, aromatherapy, progressive muscle relaxation, a warm bath, whatever, to relax you before bed. If you get anxious, you need to get up and read or do something else till you’re tired and then go back to bed. Tossing and turning isnt helpful. You realize this is mostly just psychological? It doesnt actually have anything to do with your bed. Now, maybe you can trick your mind into feeling more at home. I dont know if this will help but it may. If you have a particular spray you use in your bedroom or like an air freshener, try spraying the room with that. If you dont have one, maybe you can start using one. If your brain starts to pair the scent with your bedroom, then maybe spraying the hotel room with the scent will help. Same with sounds. Maybe music or those background noise things some people pair. You’d have to do it everyday for the association to form, and then try it out at the hotel, but it may work.
