Disability

How do you get on disability, and would severe depression and rheumatoid arthritis make me eligable?

Answer #1

Depression - no…if every depressed person was on disability, that would mean more than half the American population is at home on bed rest.

Arthritis might, if it was severe enough, but even that is difficult to prove.

Answer #2

There is nothing I like more than people abusing the system due to being lazy. Severe depression can be “cured” with medication and arthristis can also be helped with medication. So the answer is no. These are fixable problems. My father works a hard labor job with severe arthristis and messed up knees. Did I mention he is 60 years old and could get disability and also could retire but doesn’t. What happened to hard working people? Oh thats right most people want everything for free and due to almost every states stupidity they get things for free while the people who really need state aid struggle.
