Can i turn off my disability income and get a real job?

I was wondering if i am able to turn off my SSI, and get a real job. Because i feel like i dont wanna live my life like that, i wanna experience the real world, you know get a job, meet new friends, go hang out and stuff like that.

my grandma and mom said i can so i’m assuming i can just like call them and just telll them i dont that income no more and then just go apply for jobs?

You can, yes. I’d say start looking before giving them a call- so while you are looking, you DO have something coming in.
