how do you tell if a animal wants to play

Answer #1

Actually, if a dog wants to play…they do what’s called a “play-bow”…front legs on the floor, butt in the air…tail wagging.

But it does depend on the animal…they all use different body language to express different things.

Answer #2

It depends on the kind of animal. If a dog makes jerky movements left and right with it’s upper body on the ground while it’s rear is in the air it wants to play. A cat will usually jump you.

If you want to get them playful, place your pointing finger oun the ground in front of the animal. Wiggle it, move it back and forth in a smooth semi-quick motion. This will usually entice both dogs and cats to play.

Don’t do this with wolves and tigers.
