yea atoms have three main spoke of parts: Protons, neutrons and electrons. the protons and neutrons are packed tightly in the center making up most of the mass weight of the atom and the electrons are the little tiny negatively charged particles that travel around the center on various levels and various paths, when two atoms have one or more electrons following a path around both of them its called covalent bonding.
