Cant stop... what can I do?

My whole family says I drink way too fast. And I’ve been noticing that I do! Like… one of those can drinks, I can drink so fast! And even food. I eat too fast too. I want to stop. lol I feel like there’s something wrong with me.

It’s like … if there’s a drink of mine infront of me, I just need to finish it. Can’t put it down. And it gives me stomach aches when I do that.

What can I do to stop? It’s so frustrating now!

I know this may seem like a stupid question, but I want to stop this. : (

Make sure its not something more serious such as diabetes. That can cause excessive thirst. Are you rushing or are you overly thirsty?

I know what you mean, I only get 30 min for lunch and sometimes less if emergancy comes in, so ofcourse I am use to shoving my face, this carries into dinner with my husband. I really have to concentrate on taking my time. I try to talk with him in between bits. put my fork down. take a little at a time and I leave the rest of the food in the kitchen, this way I have to get up and get more if I want it. If we are in a good conversation I don’t even bother getting up to get more and then I relize I am full.

You should really stop - drinking and eating too fast is bad for your digestive system and for your stomach. You also overeat when you eat to fast because you are not giving your body a chance to tell you that you are full or to digest the food.

Whenever you eat, fix smaller portions to help you control your eating. Chew each peace of food 15-20 times before you swallow. That will allow you more time to digest also.
