“How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?”   One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it’s not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

“What should a minimum calorie intake be?”

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

get your weight , divide by two . that is how many ounces of water to drink . ex) im about 100 pounds , divide by 2 . thats 50 . 50 ounces is 6.25 cups . thats how much water I need to drink .

also : food wise - *fats, oils, sweets - USE SPARINGLY !

  • milk, yogurt, cheese , etc . : 2-3 servings DAILY meat, poultry, fish, DRIED beans, eggs, nuts, etc : 2-3 servings DAILY veggies: 3-5 servings daily *fruit: 2-4 servings daily
  • bread, cereal, rice and pasta : 6-11 servings DAILY.

have a salad ONCE or TWICE a day with a LOW FAT OR FAT FREE dressing .

get either protein bars or shakes . personally, I like the south beach peanut butter protein bars . you can find them at the grocery store . or you can get protein supplements from health food store , and you need two things of protein a day .

oh for protein - special K has protein water .

physical aspect:

  1. eat good food .
  2. relax in bathtub atleast twice a weak (known to relieve stress) .
  3. Bike/run .
  4. Lift weights . (if your a girl 2-5 pounds is good , be creative though)
  5. get ENOUGH sleep . (8-10 hours)
  6. Practice Yoga .
  7. Play sports or extra caricular activites .
  8. take walks .
  9. stretch .
  10. do aerobics workouts .

also :

  1. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY .
  • pay attention to how different foods make you feel .
  1. BE MODERATE AND AVOID EXTREMES .

exercize 20-30 minutes 3 or more times a week .

Ok well, I suggest you set out a peice of paper and write out your goal which is to lose weight. Then you decide what time of the day is best for you to do your excerises. I suggest the morning. Then you can choose about 4-5 excersising ideas to do a day. (including times)! Example: Monday- Flamingos (2 minutes each leg) Run in place (3 minutes) Pleas (8 count each leg slowly) Strech Arms across Body (2 minutes each)

Then you can figure it out from there (T,W,T, and F)

Then you figure out meals

Monday- Breakfast- choose meal Lunch- choose meal Dinner-choose meal

Hope this Helps!
