Am I paranoid?? ^_^;;

Am I paranoid if I buy a stun gun for my girlfriend? She didn’t say anything, but her eyes told a different story. I just want her to be safe, and I think I got that across well, but I wanna know if I may be going too far. (By the way, I’m the type that tenses up on the Metro, etc. when I’m with her.) She’s even called me overprotective one time…I THINK she was joking…but I noticed I DO fit the profile…In a LOT of the stereotypical ways…Is this ok, or do I need to chill out…?
