My new partner andy wants to adopt my boy would my ex neeed to have a say in it? And do you think my boy would look for his dad even though he used ti beat him and also me do you think he would call my new partner dad?

Answer #1

well depends on how old your boy is. I think your ex does have a say..unless he doesnt care about him, then you can go right ahead and do the work.

all children look for their original parents at some point..or at least wonder.

about the “dad” calling thing.. it depends on how old he is.

and how you approach it.

Answer #2

Yes, your ex has a say in it… If he was abusive, you can try and terminate his parental rights… And it depends… Most kids wonder about their blood parents, but that doesnt mean he wont call your new partner dad, or think about him as his father…

Answer #3

If your ex “beat” up your 8 month old son you should have called the police. You also claim this ex is secretly beating you. Why would you even allow him around? And your boyfriend can not adopt your child. Most places make it so you have to be married for your significant other to adopt your child. do what is best for you child and keep your ex away. Call the cops whenever he comes around. You and your childs saftey is important. (Also is is rude to put someone elses picture up on your funadvice, it is pretending to be someone you are not and I doubt the person would appreciate it. I am not trying to be mean but when you post fake pictures it makes your questions seem fake also.)
