What usually happens if the wisdom tooth is starting to come out?

Can this be removed or does it have to come quite far out before anything gets done? I’m 15 and have been told by the dentist that this is quite unusual at such a young age, only 1 is appearing at the moment, also what are good pain reliefs for this as it’s actually really painful D:?!

Answer #1

they pull it out :P

Answer #2

Oh I didn’t know if they waited until it came out quite far, but thank you :).

Answer #3

I had mine done when I was 14, and mine where still inside my gums. I recommend going to a different dentist, I had to, the one I had said the same thing about the age but their wrong. Wisdom teeth if not taken out can cause pain and push your other teeth to make room for them. Try talking to your dentist about it, because getting wisdom teeth out at 14-16 is actually very common these days.

Thank you :). I’ve been told 3 years ago there was signs of my wisdom teeth appearing soon, and I didn’t realise they’d be coming out now! It was bleeding a little bit and I can’t eat on the same side. I’m thinking I may need an emergency appointment tomorrow haha.

Answer #5

They dont always remove wisdom teeth. They will take xrays to see if they need to be taken out. Some people have mouths big enough to accommodate the teeth. The only reason they took mine out were because they were growing crooked. At what point they take out the teeth just depends. If yours have started to grow then this is the time to be getting them checked out. If they grow too much, they could mess up your other teeth. The way they remove them is by cutting open the gum and taking out the teeth. Get an xray to determine if they need to come out.

Answer #6

No problem, when you talk to your doctor just make sure that he knows it is more common these days, the reason they don’t like to take them out at such a young age is generally because your jaw is not fully developed, but it’s better to get them out now then later.

Answer #7

Oh right! Well I can’t handle the pain much longer so I just want it out D:!

Answer #8

Oh it sounds so nice! I think I’m getting it checked out tomorrow hopefully :).

Answer #9

I had enough room for my wisdom teeth so they were never pulled.

Most people don’t have room for their wisdom teeth unless they lost some other molars.

Answer #10

I’ve had my two teeth at the bottom taken out which are symmetrical in my mouth (2nd from the back) my dentist wanted to remove the wisdom teeth, put a brace to make the back ones move in so the gap wouldn’t look as bad.
