I have an absessed tooth.
Two years ago, I cracked my tooth open. My dentist told me I need a root canal and she end up giving me fillings instead. Stupid right? Well, we left there about four months ago and havent gotten a new dentist. About three months ago I got an absessed tooth, with a pus bubble outside my tooth. The bubble is constantttly there. No matter if I pop it or not.
I went to the doc and got some antibiotics. It helped the pus come out, but the bubble stayed. Tooth pain comes and goes everyday. I've been putting off going to the doc/dentist everyday.
(still havent gotten a root canal btw.)
This pus bubble thing has been on my gums for over a month now. Whats the worst that coud happen?
Well, the pain you said "comes and goes" everyday...so tho it's abcessed, it hasn't yet encompassed the entire root. Abcesses can cause "systemic infections" (infections that run thru the whole body)...Chances are tho, that once the abcess takes in the entire tooth, you'll be in so much pain you be at the dentist begging for him to pull it or fix it.

The above is correct. My boyfriends sister recently had to have 4 teeth pulled because of an abscess that she left untreated (and it wasn't even really painful for her).
So go to your dentist. You might not like it now, but believe me, you are going to hate the pain when they are pulling 4 teeth and putting in false ones for you.
I could get infected and you might end up losing the tooth... Just go to the dentist and get it sorted... Xo:)
