How to get the willpower to eat less?

[Don’t get me wrong, I’m not going anorexic] I need to quit eating as much as I do. I’m not going to stop eating all together, I just want to learn how to control myself, and only eat because I’m hungry. If you could help…that’d be great. Thanks much.

a lot of people just eat because there bored, I’ve done it before. just try to stay active or get involved in something thats very time consuming. then you wont think about eating as much.

Also, take a long look at your diet: what you’re eating. Different foods fill you up at different rates, and have different calorie counts. So if you fill up on Soda, snacks, etc, you’ll have consumed way more calories than if it was broccoli, spinach, and watermelon.

eat slowly whenever your eating meals so ull get full faster, and avoid the kitchen at all times if you arnt eatin diner,breakfast,lunch, itll avoid the temptation of eating more than you should.

you should try and eat slower, because apparently it takes your brain 20 minutes to tell your stomach that it’s full. so eat slow, and eat in frequent small portions. I suggest you eat 4-6 small meals a day, it’ll keep you full throughout the day and you’ll be intaking the right amount of food.

Im going to help your here, this is my diet this week and it fills me up completey for hours and is low in calories Week 1 Meal 1/ 6 egg whites scrambled with fresh mushrooms; 1/2 cup plain oatmeal w/ minimal sugar Meal 2/ 6 ounce chicken breast and 4 ounce yams Meal 3/ 4 ounce white tuna fish large salad with tomatoes cucumbers diced red pepper with vinergerette dressing and dijon mustard on the tuna fish Snack 2 scoops whey protein shake with 8 ounces of water Meal 4/ 6 ounce turkey breast 1 cup broccoli and 1 small baked potatoe ( I usually dont make it to meal 4 because everything else fills me up, next week the diet changes some but I only stay on this plan for 4 weeks. I call it the “look like a fitness competitor diet, lol) Good luck!

whenever your get hungry but know you shouldnt eat anymore right then, chew some gum. it helps a lot.
