Will he be okay?

My dog recently had pups, she had 5. Four girls and one boy. The boy isnt growing unlike they girls have. They have all got much bigger but the boy has stayed the same size. He cant feed off his mum because he cant keep himself up, we have been feeding him ourselves. If he just has the puppy milk that we have been giving him, will he grow? will he be okay on this?. His mum hasnt rejected him cause she still cleans him but she doesnt let him feed of her. He is always further away from the other pups and the mum and usually seeing him on his own on the other side of the dog bed. What does this mean??? Please help we are worried about him x Thank youu x

Thank you. We have started to hold him onto his mums nipple and he takes the milk but finds it hard to hold himself up. She does keep him warm but she just doesnt help him feed

sounds to me like he may be the runt, you may have to step in and take him away to feed him and keep him warm, feed him with puppy milk replacement. and keep him warm with hot water bottles or a snuggle safe under blankets, It is ok to let mom clean him, but if she is not going to keep him warm and he is to week to nurse from her then you need to do all of the above. He may get strong enought to put back with them in a couple of days or weeks, Or consult your vet.

Hmm male dogs are more vulnerable to x linked recessive disorders, when my dog had puppies all the males died. You might want to check with the vet?
