My wife and my 2years old daughter are taking a flight to India next month.

I already own travel insurance. Do I need to buy a separate health insurance policy to get medical coverage for my pregnant wife?

Answer #1

It depends on what your current policies say. I would ask you travel agent and health insurance company what is covered and go from there

Answer #2

Sometimes companies don’t provide coverage for pre-existing conditions. Check to see what exactly is covered under your travel insurance or health insurance policy your already have. This way you won’t have to face chaos and confusion when your wife needs medical insurance India coverage during her trip.

Answer #3

Usually travel insurance covers health issues arising during the journey. But make sure to check yours with your provider. If it doesn’t then you can opt to purchase medical insurance India plans as they will cost you less. Make sure to cross check the coverage offered as health insurance policy offered by some providers does include coverage for pregnancy. Make sure to check the inclusions when requesting your quotes.

Answer #4
