Why doesnt my doggy not like baths?

lol…well you used a double negative so your questions means that your dog likesbaths. Anyway…like phrannie said…some like it some don’t My terrier puts up with them. Stands still, like a statue and makes it very hard for me to wash or turn him. One of my lab mixes LOVES a bathm, the other does not.

Ours didn’t like them when she first had them, But it helps if you sit in the bath with the dog and bathe her on your lap. Just put on a bikini.

Some dogs NEVER learn to like them (my Westie, who had to be groomed every month…plus the fact that she was a terrier, so she was in the dirt a LOT)…recognised the signs of an immenent bath…me rolling up sleeves, moving a towel, getting her shampoo out, maybe the look in my eye…I don’t know, I couldn’t hide the fact from her…she knew each and every detail, and would go to the furthest corner under a queen sized bed to hide…LOL…stinker.

NEVER got used to it. Tho, she didn’t hesitate to take a swim in the lake.

well, some dogs naturally just don’t like having baths, possibly ebcause of their age or if their a rescue, their past. But other just may not like water, feel unsecure, I have a dog and he doesn’t like baths and he’s a poodle! I also have another which is blind, but she has skin problems so needs baths, if your dog doesn’t like baths give it a shower rinse, or just maybe bathe her/him in shallow water.
