Why does my cat like to pee on slick surfaces?

My 10 month old kitten will pee on slick surfaces (such as plastic bags, my jacket, the bath tub) maybe a couple of times a week. I was wondering if maybe he’s just trying to get attention or maybe his litter box isn’t clean enough for him, or what?

My cat did this. We took off the lid from her litter box and magically it stopped… Couple of options…

If it has a lid, take it off If it doesnt have a lid, put a lid on Change the litter Change the box Clean the box more regularly Buy a bigger box Buy a smaller box Use two boxes

While your making all these changes, make sure you keep her original box around until you find a good combination of things. If none of it works, take her to the vet. Could be an infection.

my cat does this when he thinks his litter box is full. and my aunts doest his after one “potty” in the litter box. he may be just as picky as them, and it’s a pain!!
