My parents split up last year and its not easy! in cerain situations its hard to see one parent without upsettng the other if it was a messy divorce and Its a lot of pressure on someone especially at a young age. just one peice of advice if your mates are upset by it dont ask them why unless you dont like them just suport thm and listen!

alright. well my parents split when I was 9, I took it hard cause my mom wants to take custody of us and I wanted to be with my dad. my mom and her new boyfriend (at the time) paid my dad off, so he would leave town. then a few years ago my mom remarried… to her boyfriend… he was no better than her fisrt husband… abusive… I take my parents divorce hard because I look at other people and see that they are complaining about having to travel between two places, and then theres me, I have no idea where my dad even is… so I think they should be grateful they get to see their family instead of complaining… I’ll gladly trade them…

Answer #4

well I dont think it is. people are just scared to see whats gunna happen. but it’s better to split than keep fighting.

Answer #5

It’s a complete change to their lives and most people don’t like change. This as well as all the obvious reasons - like custody, arguments etc.

They should consider theirselves lucky tho =] At least they have both parents.. I have neither..

my parents are getting a divorce now, for me I want to stay with my dad, but my mum won’t let me, she wants to get her way with everything, I considered running away because I didn’t want my mum to feel she is in control of me and mostly because I didn’t want to live with her either, I know there are worst situations in the world but this is really hard for me my mum tries to minipualte me into leaving my dad and never speaking to him again, I’m an only child so all the pressure is on me, my friends have never ben in my situation before so they don’t know how it feels like and the more they try to help the worse they make it. I wish I could go back to the old days when everything was fine, but that’s just in my dreams nothing like that is ever gonna happen. anyway the reason I want to leave my mum is because she is sooo strict EVERYTHING has to be her way, otherwise it is WORLD WAR 3 in our house WOW you should see it.

comment sooon I mean quick please I want to feel as if people are listening to what I have to say, and I’m not just wasting my time.

remember sooon

k well…I don’t know much about this because my parents aren’t split..unfortunately (hate my father) anyway…if I put myself in their shoes I can imagine why. If you were only a few months old when they split…everything was easy then…you didn’t have much sense and you didnt know your parents, you didnt even know it was happening. most of your friends whose parents have split have lived with their parents until they’ve grown to a mature age…they’ve lived and come to love their parents…and they’re living in a perfectly happy family everythings great…then suddenly they tell you they’re splitting up. Your world falls apart. Who do you decide to live with mostly? choosing between your mom or your dad…who you love both just as much… you don’t want the 2 people you love most to fight and hate eachother, or to have to change houses twice a week, you want your family to stay together and you want everyone to be happy.

I’m not sure if this is right…but well…that’s how I’d feel…if I loved both of my parents. A few years ago I used to love my parents both so much…and I thought if they ever split I would runaway…because I didn’t want to have to face this seperation.

mine are divorced…for me it was harder than anything…I was desparate for a long time…because nothing can make up that time that you spend with both mom and dad…I mean my brother was just baby whem my parents divorced it really affected him…hes a little strange now…and its like when you are separate from one of them you love him or hate him more and more…its bad…the best times of my life is when im with my friends and family
