Why do I have a UTI again, how will it go away?

I had a UTI last month, after I had sex for the first time with my boyfriend. I had taken antibios ( septra to be exact ) and it went away.. but now as we speak I feel that its come back. I had sex last week and I’m on my period at the moment for 2 days now, could this be an infection again? if so why does this happen and how can I prevent it? I peed so many times after I had sex so I don’t understand how this happened

maybe the prob. Isn’t you you should have your partner wash up before sex.. if the problem continues try changing soaps they can also cause UTI’s
