Why did that cop follow me?

Last night I was driving home from work. As I turned into my neighborhood, I looked into my rear view mirror and saw a police suv behind me. No big deal, I said to myself. I made sure I was going the speed limit and using my turn signals. As I am giogn through my neighborhood to get tomy house I look behind me and the police car is following me . I thought it was quite odd, but he didn’t but his lights or siren on so I kept driving. As I pulled into my drive way, the copy stopped out side of my house. As I was getting out of my car, the police car drove away very slowly through the neighborhood. I stayed out front for a moment just to be sure they didn’t need anything from me. After the police car circled the neighborhood, they pulled back around and stopped in front of my house again. The police car rolled down the window. There was a male officer driving and women officer in the passenger seat. The officer on the passenger end rolled down the window, and asked “is this the anderson residence?” I said “no ma’am this this is the (gave my last name) residence. She then said “ok, thank you.” and they drove away.

I don’t even know anyone with the last name anderson…

I think this is so bizarre. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this happened?
