Why be against a independent south?

Why should anyone be against the return of the confederacy. Not one website I dare you to find a confederate website that advocates for slaveries return. All the confederate sites I’ve seen advocate for a limited government for Confederate government that meaning several nations under a federal government the states being independent nations united under a federal government. To understand that better is look at the UN and you’ll understand what that means. Since slavery is over why still control the south why not let the south free. We are for freedom and equility of rights the confederacy is a democracy it has elections the states vote in their presidents the government has a president just like the UN

Answer #1

Well there you have your answer… so as soon as you get enough people on board with you I guess the south can leave?

Answer #2

This is just a ridiculous question. Do you really think the majority of people in the southern states actually still want to secede?

Answer #3

Why not let any state that wants to leave exit peacefully?

The right to peaceful secession would put some serious checks on the power of the federal government.

Answer #4

dude maybe you should do a lil more reading cause all the southern states signed an agreement long ago that agreement was they are apart of the US and they cant break away so even if the south wanted to it’d kinda hard and would probably start another civil war

Answer #5

What’s the point of it returning?

Answer #6

I don’t think you will find many “blue state” voters who are in favor of keeping the South in the Union anymore.

Answer #7

because we live in the UNITED states of america.
