Why are my parents like this?

I dont know why, but my mom always blames me on everything! it bothers me. the other day I was baking cookies and she started yelling at me because the cookies arent the right size! I mean seriously…why would anyone do tht?

Answer #1

She might be under some stress you’re not aware of - give her a little time / space and continue to be your pleasant self :-)

Answer #2

It seems to have its origins in your mum’s past. However, if you’re not exagerating, its become a behavioural habit/pattern in her behaviour. Seriously speaking, unless you address it with her, you could end up like that as well. We can pick up the behaviour and characteristics of significant influences in our lives even without thinking about it (I.e. subconsciously). Although from your age you’re still a teenager, you could try and have an grown-up conversation with your mum or failing that bring it to the attention of someone who could talk to her about it like your dad or aunt or maternal grandma.

Answer #3

yer I know its hard honey, but seriously, think why she could possible be under stress, and why she should act so rashly? she has given u life, a home, a family. think about everything she has done for you and then reconsider if this question was fair.try to be a little more understanding. im not saying your not normal to feel like this. I seriously went thru a phase where I hated my parents. I just grew up and understood.

Answer #4
